EPoS systems enable licensees to manage their business more efficiently

You might have followed Jamie’s Chef, the Channel 4 show in which Jamie Oliver chose the apprentice to run his latest gastronomic venture, and perhaps have been unable to resist chuckling a little over the name of the celebrity chef’s new pub. But you probably didn’t ponder too long over what EPoS system had been installed.

Tills, however, are at the heart of an efficient pub business, and the victorious Aaron Craze, now installed at the Cock in the Essex countryside north of Braintree, owes as much to technology as he does his culinary skills for his early success.
The Cock has three PC-PoS Frontier touchscreen terminals fronting Mission X Series software, all supplied by Mission Integrated Systems and giving Aaron the support he needs to concentrate on pleasing his customers.

“The system is easy to use and has excellent reporting capabilities, which make the difficult job of managing your bottom line that much less painful,” says Sharon Wright, project manager for Jamie Oliver’s charity Fifteen Ventures, which owns the Cock.

Aaron has taken on a huge challenge and although the Fifteen Foundation is always on hand to offer support, he is completely responsible for making his own profits and making this pub a viable business.

“The support and training offered by PC-PoS and Mission has been invaluable,” she adds.
Mission has installed systems in bars, pubs, restaurants, hotels, clubs and leisure outlets throughout the UK since the first Mission X EPoS solution appeared in the Market Bar in the City of London in May 2001.
